Resource and Reserve Estimations—Mining

Resource & Reserve Estimations Services

The resource and reserve estimation services utilise advanced mining software to model the ore deposit to reflect anticipated mining activities. This presents the opportunity to examine the impacts of mining technique assumptions and make informed decisions about the most effective methodology to maximise recovery of the deposit. Services we provide include:
Block Modelling
Correlation and Regression
Grade Outliers and Topcuts
Semivariogram Modelling
Block Size and Orientation
Variography
Estimation of Ore and Stockpile Grades
Optimisation of Resource and Reserve Recovery
Reconciliation Between Ore Reserves, Grade Control and
Production
Preparing Resource Statements
Resource Confidence Classification
Resource Estimation and Grade Control
Inverse Distance Resource Estimation Procedures
Recoverable Resource Estimation
Resources and Reserve Audits

Deliverables

Accurate, validated resource and reserve estimates consistent with the data available and assessed with respects to confidence and operational risk.

Methodology

Our geologists and engineers employ Vulcan, Surpac and Minescape to carry out resource and reserve estimates. Methods used include:
Reconciliations between block model, mine production and production plant.
Statistical analysis of drillholes and sample data.
Creation of numerical models for resource assessment and reserve reporting.
Recommendations targeting improvements to geological data gathering and minimising resource risk.
