Essential Qualifications & Skills:
Degree in Geology
Proficient in Vulcan (or Surpac) — at least 3-4 years exposure is vital
Advanced PC skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience:
Strong operational and technical experience, preferably in open cut mining.
Strong geological knowledge is vital.
Strong communication skills are imperative in order to explain technical concepts to clients.

Responsibilities Include:
Validation of current block models
Geostatistical investigations
Studies and audits of geological data sampling methodologies
Resource estimation
Creating block models from scratch in Vulcan
Submitting the required proposals and reports

Report To:
Senior Geologist
